Apartments in Dubai – What you get for $10 Million

pfhackettThey will each be reached by their own private voice-activated elevator. All apartments come with a maid’s room and every apartment will have its very own swimming pool, personal gymnasium and steam room. I put this in Entertainment > Celebrity – since that’s the closest digg category.. That and I’m sure that’s who they’re catering to.[...] Thanks to pfhackett for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 779 Diggs).

What other user say about this:

hunglowang: $10 million for an apartment in the middle of nowhere? NO THANKS. You don’t create a city in 5 min out of nothing and expect it to be the center of the world.

3eeedeee: if i had 10 mil, i’d buy a cheap house and spend the other 9.8 mil filling it with a steady stream of slutty babes.

tucobenedicto: Dubai is actually the tackiest place in the world.

Seomann: In Dubai $10 million is like $30 million dollars in the U.S.

ChileanGoD: This saddens me… How many people in the world are starving to death already?…

seandfeeney: That site needs to turn off the repeat attribute in its header.

emericle: any idea what the material around the pool and on the wall is? I really like the color / texture of it.

ericisroot: Can I get that pool in gold with some girls for $20 million?

stevenvh: Ok, I understand that for 10M you can’t have everything, but how about a garden(1) to read a book(2)?

(1) Garden: piece of ground, enclosed, and cultivated with extraordinary care, planted with herbs or fruit or food, or laid out for pleasure.
(2) Book: collection of leaves of paper, parchment, vellum, or other material (whether written, printed, or blank), affixed in in some manner to one another, with or without a case or cover, at least 49 pages.

phidgt: For $10 million you can get yourself one of those islands in the world that they are making off the coast. I read that they were starting at $7 million which leaves you with some change left over for a beach house.

kessel: the comments on the actual site are disgustingly racist

zarloniusrex: so basically, what i could afford in dubai with the extent of my savings thus far… *counts change in pocket* would equate to 1/10000th my total size.

depressing.

well, maybe in ten years time i’ll be wealthy enough to own my very own sleeping crate. luxury not included :(

seiha: built by slave labor: http://www.uaeprison.com/index.htm

junk2006: read the comments under that there hilarious

Jonny0stars: Dubai is one of the most lively and exciting cites i have been to, its also one of the cheapest.
Its the hight of luxury but travel down the motorway and see the gold souk, spice souk and you will see the real Dubai and its a million times better than the high price apartments and golf courses even if it is on the poorer side, its where the people are and there the best part… still wouldn’t turn one of these apartments down though.
